Ugledni delodajalec / Family friendly enterprise
This year the Bank of Slovenia has been awarded full Family-Friendly Enterprise certification, which stands for social responsibility in corporate governance, and is the only such certification in Slovenia. It has thus built on the basic certification that it received in 2015. Over a period of three years the Bank of Slovenia has succeeded in introducing nine different measures to obtain full certification. In a process using trained external advisors/assessors the certification is awarded by Inštitut Ekvilib, which is responsible for the certification process, and the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
Certification provides short-term and long-term benefits from allowing employees to improve their work/life balance, which are seen in reduced staff turnover, lower levels of absence on the grounds of sickness or caring for family members, a smaller number of accidents, etc., and in an increase in employee satisfaction, motivation and loyalty, which ultimately bring clear economic benefits.
We will endeavour to fully implement the new measures at the Bank of Slovenia over the next three years. We will also focus on intergenerational collaboration and on managing older employees.
