Library
The Banka Slovenije library is an organisational unit of Banka Slovenije, and does not operate as a public library, although it is open to outside users and is included in COBISS, the national cooperative bibliographic system.
The library’s mission is to permanently support the development of expertise at Banka Slovenije, and to provide information services, primarily to staff at the parent organisation, but also under special conditions to external users who want to expand their knowledge in a particular area, which it does by granting access to information resources and knowledge in all forms.
The collection has been built on the basis of the Banka Slovenije’s professional interests, and also with regard to the general theory and practice of central banking around the world. It is organised along the principles of a professional library.
The areas of expertise supported by the library are economic theory and analysis, monetary theory and analysis, financial theory and analysis, banking, legal theory and practice, legislation, and related areas such as econometrics, statistics, accounting, and history of economics.
