The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia decided to leave the interest rates on its monetary policy instruments unchanged in the context of the European Central Bank’s rise in interest rates. The Bank of Slovenia’s interest rates thereby converged further on the interest rates that now apply to the ECB’s monetary policy instruments. The spread between the Bank of Slovenia’s interest rate on 60-day bills and the main ECB interest rate narrowed from 50 to 25 basis points, and the spread in the cost of financing on the basis of the reverse foreign exchange swap or the securities swap narrowed from 75 to 50 basis points.
