Press release from the meeting of the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia on 4 November 2008

1. At today’s meeting the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on current economic and financial trends, and approved the release of the October 2008 Economic and Financial Developments. 

2. The Governing Board was briefed on current banking operations and developments on the capital markets. 

3. The Governing Board adopted a regulation on the obligation to report on business with the rest of the world, which entails the basis of an updated system of direct reporting by participants in transactions with non-residents. The previous collation of data for monitoring economic relations with the rest of the world via banks will mostly be replaced on 1 January 2009 with direct reporting.
