Press release from the meeting of the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia of 17 February 2009

1. At today's meeting the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on the Bank of Slovenia's unaudited financial statements for 2008 and the Report on Money Market Developments. 

2. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia adopted the Regulation on the Exchange of Mutilated or Damaged Euro Banknotes and the Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Tariff for Charging Fees for Bank of Slovenia Services, in the part relating to the fees charged for the exchange of mutilated or damaged banknotes. 

3. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on the draft Payment Services and Systems Act, which will transpose the European directive on payment services in the internal market into the Slovenian legal system. Consultations regarding the draft act were held with the professional public. A coordinated draft will be sent to the Ministry of Finance, which will submit the act for approval.
