Press release from the meeting of the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia on 1 December 2009

1. At today's meeting the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia discussed current domestic and international economic and financial developments, and approved the release of the Report on Economic and Financial Developments, November 2009, and the Report on Economic Relations with the Rest of the World, September 2009.

2. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on banking operations in the current year, and on developments on the capital markets and interest rates.

3. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia adopted an amendment to the Regulation on Credit Protection in the part that defines an independent valuer. In addition to the definition set out in the capital requirements directive, in the future the eligibility of an independent valuer will include the requirement that real estate valuations, issued by an independent valuer, be fully in line with international valuation standards.
