Governor at informal meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council, and at the Eurofi Financial Forum
Governor Boštjan Vasle recently attended the informal meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN), which was held in Budapest in the scope of the Hungarian presidency of the Council of the European Union. Amongst the topics in focus at the aforementioned meeting, ministers and the governors of European Union (EU) central banks discussed the current issue of environmental protection as it relates to the sustainable financing of the green transition.
Alongside the informal ECOFIN meeting, the governor was also a guest at the Eurofi 2024 international financial forum. The governor took part in a panel entitled ‘What monetary policy to promote stability and growth in the EU?’, together with fellow governors from Austria and Croatia, and a representative of the European Parliament.
