Governor Vasle presents Banka Slovenije’s 2023 Annual Report to the National Assembly’s Finance Committee

Boštjan Vasle, Governor of Banka Slovenije, presented its 2023 annual report and 2024 financial plan at a meeting of the National Assembly’s Financial Committee. 

Among the key highlights of the 2023 Annual Report, the Governor emphasised Banka Slovenije's continued transition to an increasingly more restrictive monetary policy within the Eurosystem, and the decisive action it took to contribute to macroeconomic stability. It also responded appropriately to the current trends within the banking system. Through macroprudential measures it strengthened financial stability, while its microprudential supervision helped guide banks into full compliance with current banking regulations. 

The Governor concluded that Banka Slovenije successfully fulfilled its mandate as set out by law. He also provided clarifications in connection with current macroeconomic developments, and answered questions in connection with some of the issues highlighted.
