The Bank of Slovenia is carefully monitoring and obtaining information in connection with the investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against banker Janko Medja and any other persons involved in the case, including Dr France Arhar. Cooperation is proceeding with representatives of the management boards of the two banks where the aforementioned bankers have worked (UniCredit Banka Slovenije d.d. and NLB d.d.), representatives of NLB d.d.’s supervisory board and representatives of the NBI. The Bank of Slovenia has received assurances from NLB d.d.’s supervisory board that all powers have been assigned and that the management board and the bank are functioning normally. The Bank of Slovenia will decide on any further action in accordance with its powers on the basis of the findings.
