Banka Slovenije received 58 reports of breaches via its reporting system last year

Under Article 269 of the ZBan-3, Banka Slovenije publishes a report on potential and actual breaches of the regulations referred to in the second paragraph of Article 9 of the ZBan-3. In the period from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 inclusive, Banka Slovenije received fifty-eight reports under the breach reporting system. In eleven cases, potential breaches of the ZBan-3 were found; in line with the reporting system’s rules six reports were dealt by Banka Slovenije in accordance with their jurisdiction and five reports were forwarded to the European Central Bank (ECB) for further resolution. Forty-four reports related to questions and reports by consumers, which do not fall within the scope of the reporting system and are being dealt with by other departments at Banka Slovenije. Three reports were deficient and could not be addressed.
