Banka Slovenije’s Mala galerija: Working meeting of the Governor and leadership of the University marks gallery’s third anniversary
Three years ago a collaboration between Banka Slovenije and the University of Ljubljana saw the revival of the renovated Mala galerija Banke Slovenije. The main purpose of the gallery is to offer a space for young artists just starting out on their path to becoming established in the world of art. With more than 20 exhibitions to date, Mala galerija has successfully fulfilled its mission.
Marking this third anniversary, Banka Slovenije’s Mala galerija was visited by the University Rector, Gregor Majdič, and the Vice-Rector for the Arts, Matjaž Drevenšek, accompanied by Governor Boštjan Vasle. They were given a tour of the current exhibition Odd Lots: Vienna / Ljubljana by curator Vladimir Vidmar. Those present underlined the success of the cooperation and renewed the commitment of both institutions to provide even more ambitious support for the youngest generation of artists.
The representatives of the University also toured the Banka Slovenije Museum, which aims to provide financial education for students and adults.
