Warning: attempts to misuse the name and logo of Banka Slovenije

In recent months Banka Slovenije has noticed an increased use of its name and logo with the intent of damaging consumers. The targets have been mainly natural persons: the offenders pretend to be employees of Banka Slovenije and demand either transfers from consumers or to inspect their bank accounts.

Banka Slovenije warns that as the central bank it does not provide business services for natural or legal persons and that such offers or advertisements are therefore an abuse of their name and logo. Instances of abuse are dealt with by Banka Slovenije and are also forwarded to the competent authorities. We therefore ask consumers to exercise care when faced with such offers and to contact us if they have further questions.
